I should admit that the words of the mine chief NKVD Major Kovalenko bought me, the concept of the underground equality made me fall in love with the place where I did not feel humiliated even though in the teeth of death. The faith in that myth had lived in my mind for 13 years until it was shattered by KGB Colonel Koshkin.
