Frightened "storks" [whom the criminals robbed] hiding faces in hands fell on knees around their equally frightened forewoman Aistova. None of them thought of rebellion! Certainly I plunged into the fight, disarmed the chief bandit and dispersed the others. By that time I knew it was dangerous to go against thieves' rules but I still observed another rule, the rule of Don Quixote.
