[Once I happened to be in Suiga in the afternoon and decided to come over the shop and get a food rationing so that to get rid of the necessity to wait in line in the evening which might be till 11pm. The door stood ajar and I entered unnoticed.]
Khokhrin's wife was near the counter saying, "And a kilogram of semolina or Lidochka, and a kilogram of millet for Lidochka, and else..."
Here Nikolai Schukin, the director, noticed me and roared, "The shop doesn't work! Close the door!"
