Lord God sent manna to Hebrews in the desert and fish to me...
Though it was gulls that shouldered the God's role. In those lands there are  lot of gulls and even more fish. Sometimes a bird dropped a fish in dry last-year reeds where I found it, sometimes fresh, sometimes tainted, the most often sun-cured. It's rather brackish but eatable - hunger can breaks stones!
