Investigator Titov's office by no means reminded of us being in prison, there were large Venetian windows with bobbinet curtains and no bars, upholstered furniture. And the most important was a friendly tone of conversation, not interrogation. All of that was aimed to lulling the vigilance, gaining the trust and seeding the hope for salvation. As for me... I didn't have to pretend, I hid or withheld nothing.
And then... I was offered to sign the same balderdash about being a saboteur sent by the enemies!
