More often than not I dealt with barrels of salted cod and got so experienced that could raise barrels to the third tier using two pokots* and a rope. Omul, a famous delicacy of the Lake Baikal, is a black swan. Unfortunately barrels with omul are of high quality and it is very difficult to break it accidentally. But one day such a barrel was broken all the same and we enjoyed soft omul transparent from fat. However we had cod frequently... * Pokot is two boards put on stacked up barrels. The barrels are rolled up with the rope along the boards to the next tier.
